Every Marsland Defender chassis is built in its entirety at Autostructures UK Limited (formally GKN Autostructures Limited), using the same materials, processes & quality control techniques as were stipulated at the time of original equipment manufacture. Each certificate details the chassis’ individual fully traceable build number and can be supplied to your insurance company as proof the chassis has been replaced with a type approved original equipment chassis.

As all Marsland chassis are to latest specification with the rear TD5-99 onwards style cross member the following are the correct tow bars for our chassis:

• 90 200/ 90 300/ 90 V8 use VPLDT0085 -This is the JLR latest part number (listed as a 110 tow pack – this is correct for these early 90 models with a Marsland chassis)
• 90 300 ROW/ 90 V8 ROW/ 90 ADP/ 90 TD5/ 90 PUMA use VPLDT0084
• All 110 and 130 variants use VPLDT0085

The most common question!! At Marsland we do not tap the holes for the tow bar, this is due to so many tow bar variations, models and none-use. The correct sizes are:

• Top 4 holes: M12
• Bottom 2 holes: M16
• Underneath 3 holes: M10
• Standard pitch, metric course.

Our Marsland Defender chassis is manufactured in the UK at Autostructures UK (Formally GKN Autostructures UK Limited). We use the original manufacturing line which is why our chassis is the only one that comes fully certified and crash tested.

Yes, Marsland manufactured the 88 and 109 Series 3 chassis for genuine parts after the production ceased at Sollihull. The same tooling and jigs are still used today.

At Marsland we understand that taking delivery of a chassis can be complex and far from straight forward! That’s why we use our own drivers that are more than happy to assist with the unloading of your new chassis. Chassis are always delivered at a pre-agreed date and time – keeping you updated during the delivery day with an accurate ETA. All chassis are delivered by vehicle (3.5T) with a flat bed trailer removing the issues of access for HGV’s etc.
